Axel Hägerstedt is a Swedish operative in the EU strategic intelligence service. A border conflict, unrest in destitute suburbs and terrorist strikes escalate into a security crisis of unimaginable dimensions. This increasingly violent turn of events takes him to war torn Nigeria, his native Sweden and Spain, which is on the brink of collapse. Faced with a ruthless opponent, Axel is forced to act alone in a showdown at the heart of the capital of the European Union.
As captain in the Swedish Army reserve, Alexander Koistinen participated in peacekeeping missions in the Balkans and West Africa. He graduated as Master of Science from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm and has worked as an EU civil servant.
